Glossary - G
Gene - A gene is a unit of inheritance. You get genes from both your mother and father.
Gene Therapy - Gene therapy is a treatment option in which genes are inserted in unhealthy cells in the body so that cancerous parts of the gene are replaced with healthy parts from the new gene.
Genetic - Something that is "genetic" is inherited. For example, your eye color is a genetic trait. The environment has no factor in something that is purely genetic.
