Legal Glossary - I

In Camera - In camera means 'private'. If a portion of a legal proceeding goes 'in camera', it is done privately in the judge's chambers.

Interrogatory - Questions either asked in a court of law or written down by one side of the lawsuit that must be answered, either in court or in writing by the other side of the lawsuit. Interrogatories can be asked by either the defense or the prosecution, and the other side must answer truthfully - these are admissible in a court of law as evidence for the trial.
