Occupational Disease - An occupational disease is an illness that is the direct result of working long term in a particular occupation. An example of occupational disease can be people who are exposed to asbestos who later develop mesothelioma cancer or asbestosis.

Out-of-Court Settlement - An out of court settlement is an agreement that is reached between the defendant and plaintiff to resolve a lawsuit in private without a judge authorizing or approving the settlement.
