Narcotic - Traditionally referring to a substance deriving from opium, a narcotic is any substance meant to produce changes in mood and behavior (and sometimes other body functions). Narcotics are potentially dependants if users continually take them.

Neck - A human's neck is the thin structure of muscle, bones, and other tissues that connects the head to the rest of the body. However, 'neck' can refer to any column-like constriction in a structure, like another organ.

Needle Biopsy - With a needle biopsy, a doctor will insert a very long, hollow needle into the body to remove a sample of the tissue underneath. He or she will then study this tissue to determine whether or not it is healthy.

Negligence - Negligence is the failure to protect another person when you are responsible for doing so. In a medical negligence lawsuit, a doctor could be sued for misdiagnosis, failure to present all medical treatment options, or other forms of harming a patient.

Neoplasm - Neoplasm is a condition in which cells are growing abnormally quickly, creating large tumors in a short period of time.

Neuropathy - When the nerves are disrupted, the condition is called neuropathy. There are many different kinds of neuropathy, caused by things like the cut off of blood supply to the nerves or pressure on the peripheral nerves.

Node - A node in the body is a small bump of tissue. There are many normal nodes found in the body, like those in the lymphatic system, but this could also indicate a problem.

Nodule - A nodule is a very small node that is solid and can be felt when touched.
