Dr. Philippe A. Chahinian
An oncologist at the Derald H. Ruttenberg Treatment Center at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, Philippe A. Chahinian, MD is a graduate of the Paris (France) School of Medicine, where he received his medical degree in 1969. He completed his residency at Paris University Hospital and his fellowship at Mount Sinai. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. Dr. Chahinian also teaches at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Dr. Chahinian's practice concentrates on the treatment of mesothelioma as well as other thoracic cancers, lung cancer and thymoma. He also practices general internal medicine.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, Dr. Chahinian has authored and co-authored many books and articles. He co-edited a medical text entitled Mesothelioma, completed in 2002. A lecturer who has also been interviewed in a number of mainstream publications, including New York Magazine, Dr. Chahinian travels the world presenting information based on his research and the research of his colleagues. Recently, he served as a moderator at the Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium, held in New York City in 2008.
