Samuel Meirowitz, a mesothelioma attorney and partner at Meirowitz & Wasserberg, discusses how he determines the value of client's mesothelioma case.

What what certainly helps in determining what the value cases is the work history of the person that's sick. We have to be able to pursue a company that manufactured, and asbestos can take product. One of the things that I like to say is, you know, you can't sue asbestos, right? You can't sue wood or glass. It's a naturally occurring mineral fiber that is mined in the ground. So it's done nothing wrong to anyone until a company comes and mines it and then puts it into a product and then doesn't tell people that dust coming from that product is unsafe and could cause cancer. So for us, what the most important part of the process is is taking down an occupational history. And asking all the right questions in terms of what work was done and what products were used because we know all the different manufacturers of the variety of different types of equipment, and and products associated with equipment that contain asbestos. And having a larger group of the companies that we can pursue can certainly make a difference in the outcome of the case.
