Is Asbestos Banned in the United States?

[MUSIC PLAYING] Asbestos is the biggest exposure risk associated with the development of mesothelioma as well as other diseases. And believe it or not, it is still not formally banned in the United States. Obviously there have been measures to control the use and sort of mitigate the exposure, but we are still importing. And there are still lots of substances that are contaminated with asbestos. There's a lot of work being done. And there is currently proposals to outright ban the six forms of asbestos that are contaminating substances and still being imported into the United States. [MUSIC PLAYING]
