Carla Fasolo shares her experience of being referred to an oncologist by her primary care doctor, feeling uncomfortable with the initial doctor, deciding to do research, conducting online research to find treatment options, and receiving encouragement and help from an organization.
My primary care doctor sent me to an oncologist. I was uncomfortable with her. So I had decided I had to do some research. I went online, and looked up multiple different areas to go for answer a treatment. I found this, you know, organization. And I had talked to Karen, and she was very encouraging, and, she helped me a lot. And the information that they sent me. And so I ended up going to see doctor De Silva, who is my, the surgeon, and he referred me off to the oncologist.
