Dr. Christopher Wigfield has experience with mesothelioma, conditions in the space between the lungs, chest wall tumors and chest wall defects. He joined Northern Light Cardiothoracic Surgery in Bangor, Maine, in 2023. Favoring minimally invasive approaches, Dr. Wigfield often uses video-assisted and robotic-assisted techniques that can mean smaller incisions, less pain and a faster recovery.
He also collaborates with oncology, radiology and pulmonology teams to build a full personalized treatment plan for each patient. Dr. Wigfield also mentors residents and post-doctoral students in clinical and research settings.
