About Travis

Travis Rodgers is an Emmy-nominated journalist with more than two decades of experience. He has been a valued member of the Asbestos.com content team since April 2023. Before joining The Mesothelioma Center as a content writer, Travis worked in a variety of roles in the television news broadcasting industry.

He started his career as a video editor, then moved on to videographer, reporter and web editor. He spent most of his career as a producer at TV network affiliates across the southeastern United States. As a producer, Travis spent his time carefully crafting, writing and creating visual elements for live newscasts while also coordinating with a team in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

Travis was nominated for an Emmy while producing live breaking news when a shooter shut down the Orlando International Airport in May 2017. He was also an integral part of one of the first newscasts in Orlando reporting on the tragic Pulse nightclub mass shooting in June 2016.

He now brings his writing experience to The Mesothelioma Center, sharing the latest news about mesothelioma breakthroughs, research, litigation, treatments and mesothelioma survivors.
