Why Choose Dr. Zachary Brown for Peritoneal Mesothelioma
His patients benefit from access to advanced surgical options. For example, Dr. Brown offers his patients tumor-removing (cytoreductive) surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, or HIPEC. Research shows this treatment significantly improves outcomes, delivering chemo directly to the abdomen to destroy small cancer cells that may still be left after surgery.
Dr. Brown is actively involved in research focused on targeted treatment, which gives his peritoneal mesothelioma patients the opportunity to be part of cutting edge therapies and approaches. He’s authored more than 70 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, presenting his findings at national meetings.
His approach puts patient education at the center of every multimodal treatment plan. Dr. Brown collaborates with experts across disciplines including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, nurse navigators, nutritionists, physical therapists and social workers to build individualized care plans for each patient.
