About Carl Money
And I’ve had an office in Mexico and I’ve worked throughout every state I’ve had cases and in the United States and so there’s not a case that I haven’t seen. So I guess when you sit and visit with them and you start understanding their asbestos exposure history, make them feel comfortable because you’ve already seen it. I know all of the asbestos containing products that they worked with. I know the brand name, the manufacturer’s name.
I know what you did, you know, working as a boiler tech in the Navy. I know what you did as a shipyard worker. And the same thing as a person who worked in a steel mill. I know every aspect of a steel mill and what a pipe fitter does.
And so given that, I think it makes them feel comfortable that somebody understands what they did, has empathy for them, and is going to work hard.
D. Carl Money has devoted his career to fighting for workers and their families. For more than two decades, he has served as a trial attorney in the U.S. and U.K., representing people diagnosed with mesothelioma.
He served as general counsel in the Texas Legislature, shaping laws to help those harmed by corporate wrongdoing. He also served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps, providing legal support to wounded soldiers.
Money earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies at Austin College. During that time, he also studied abroad for a year in Vienna, Austria. Money received his Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University Law School, where he studied abroad in Prague and won the American Jurisprudence Award for Appellate Advocacy.
Licensed in Texas, New York, England and Wales, Money belongs to multiple legal associations across the U.S. and U.K. He fights corporations that put profits over people and has spoken worldwide on asbestos litigation. Texas Monthly named him a Super Lawyer in 2006. Outside law, Money owns a boutique winery with his wife and 4 children in Texas Hill Country.
