About Renee

Renee Taft is a legal professional with more than 18 years of experience in criminal and civil law, including asbestos litigation. Her role as a paralegal for bankruptcy trustees involved in mesothelioma cases demonstrates her ability to manage large volumes of sensitive medical records, analyze deposition transcripts and ensure legal compliance during every phase of the asbestos trust claim process.

She uses her knowledge of regulatory frameworks, document review and litigation support to spot critical case details that strengthen asbestos compensation claims. Taft’s work with mass tort cases and federal agencies further shows her ability to navigate complex systems involving multiple stakeholders, making her a valuable asset in asbestos-related legal matters. She also brings relevant experience from past roles in the United States Department of Agriculture, Veterans Evaluation Services and Scouting America (formerly known as Boy Scouts of America) mass tort litigation.

Taft holds a Juris Doctor from William Howard Taft School of Law and advanced degrees in public health and public administration. She is a member of the CJA Private Panel for the U.S. District Court in South Carolina and the South Carolina Association for Justice. Her multidisciplinary background blending law, health care and public policy contribute to her role as a trusted expert in complex legal matters.
