About William A. Davis
William A. Davis is a licensed attorney with expertise in asbestos litigation and health care disputes. He founded the Law Office of William Davis in 2020, which specializes in complex commercial litigation. He also serves as Senior Counsel at The Peterson Firm, which handles asbestos claims nationwide.
Davis earned his juris doctorate from Columbia Law School in 1987. During law school he was an editor of the Columbia Law Review. Following graduation from law school, Davis served as a law clerk in Baltimore to Chief Judge Alexander Harvey of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
Davis served as an attorney in the Washington, D.C., office of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, an international law firm, from 1988 to 1996. Davis then served as an attorney at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, also an international law firm, until 2020. He was chair of the Washington litigation practice.
Davis has litigated disputes for Fortune 500 companies, and he was named a Washington, D.C., Super Lawyer. He has presented at many legal conferences and handled litigation across diverse legal issues including healthcare, financial services and disputes with the U.S. government.
