About Dr. Brent Xia
Dr. Brent Xia is a HIPEC-certified surgeon with extensive experience in treating peritoneal mesothelioma and other abdominal cancers. Double board-certified in general surgery and complex general surgical oncology, he practices at St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
He performs both aggressive tumor-removing or cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Xia finds fulfillment in managing complex tumors and appreciates the challenges that come with each unique case.
He believes in what’s known as longitudinal care, fostering strong, long-term relationships and providing comprehensive care. Dr. Xia says he values the opportunity to offer continuous, ongoing support throughout his patients’ peritoneal mesothelioma journeys. He sees himself not only as an oncology surgeon, but an advocate for his patients. With a broad approach to mesothelioma treatment, Dr. Xia values the benefits of multidisciplinary care for each patient. He ensures his mesothelioma patients receive pre or post-surgical radiation or chemo, proper follow-up scans and the support they need to overcome challenges and receive the best care.
